Programa de Inmersión lingüística en Colonias de Verano

Publicada convocatoria de Programa de Inmersión Lingüística de Colonias de Verano para 2018.
Se ofertan 2.200 plazas, para alumnos de 1º y 2º de la ESO.
Plazo de presentación: del 9 al 30 de abril, ambos inclusive.

Colonias de Verano 2018 (1º ESO)
Requisitos:

• Estar matriculado en centros sostenidos con fondos públicos durante el presente curso 2017/2018.
• Haber obtenido, como mínimo, “notable” como nota media del curso 2016/2017. 
• Haber obtenido, como mínimo, “notable” como nota final en la asignatura de inglés en el curso 2016/2017.
• No haber sido beneficiario de la ayuda en convocatorias anteriores.
• Los alumnos con necesidad específica de apoyo educativo no tendrán nota mínima "notable" (7). Podrán optar desde el "aprobado" (5).

Colonias de Verano 2018 (2º ESO)
Requisitos:

• Estar matriculado en centros sostenidos con fondos públicos durante el presente curso 2017/2018.
• Haber obtenido, como mínimo, “notable (7)” como nota media del curso 2016/2017. 
• Haber obtenido, como mínimo, “notable (7)” como nota final en la asignatura de inglés en el curso 2016/2017.

• Los alumnos con necesidad específica de apoyo educativo no tendrán nota mínima "notable" (7). Podrán optar desde el "aprobado" (5).

February is Black History Month - Rosa Parks

Rosa Lee Parks was forty-two years old when she made history. She was sitting on the bus in Montgomery, Alabama, one day in 1955 when a white man demanded her seat. Mrs Parks refused, defying the rules which required blacks to give up their seats to whites. She was arrested and fined. Her treatment triggered a three hundred and eighty one day boycott of the bus system, organised by the Reverend Martin Luther King Junior. The Montgomery bus boycott marked the birth of the civil rights movement.
